I was born in Mexico and came to the US after meeting my American born husband in my home country. My undergrad is in accounting, though I have worn many hats since graduating from college. I have maintained products for a companys website, taught English as a second language and even did an internship at a bakery. Currently  I work part time at a computer startup in the Silicon Valley doing project management. Working part time  gives me the flexibility to enjoy more time  with my two amazing kids and husband while still fulfilling my professional goals.

I also like to constantly challenge myself. I find this helps me to  grow both professionally and in my personal life. One of these challenges was to create this site. This is quite an accomplishment for me (pat on the back). I didn’t think I could find the time to do it and thought about farming it out. In the end I decided that it would be a learning experience and I was determined to succeed.

One of the things I enjoy is traveling. I find meeting people from different cultures interesting. I enjoy hearing other languages and seeing how people in other parts do things. I also love to read anything and everything. It always amazes me how many good stories are out there. Discovering new books that a summer or two later become best sellers is particularly fun. I also like to excercise and was introduced to runnning by my husband. I enjoy playing tennis, or rather taking tennis lessons. It seems that having to schedule a time and paying for an instructor forces me out there. I enjoy riding my bike around town and  ditching my car. It makes me feel good to not be contributing towards traffic on our streets and its great excercise too.

Now last, but not least, here is my passion, my sole reason for running; Baking. I love it! Making yummy breads and cakes and cookies gives me an outlet for my creative side and eating and sharing them with family and friends is the best.
